Current Projects
It may sound silly, but some clients prefer that we don't publically disclose the fact that we're helping them crush their competition. Here are the projects we're safe to tell you we're currently working on.

Client Name: Easy Estimated Taxes Website: EasyEstimatedTaxes.com
Business summary: Easy Estimated Taxes is a startup. They've launched a minimum valuable product to test some guesses about the 1040ES filing market. Their product provides a simple and secure online solution for individuals seeking to make estimated tax payments electronically to the IRS. They make money by charging a fee for their service. So far they have done well, processing more than $3.5 million in estimated tax payments. Project Start Date: June 2011
Why they hired Brand5 1. Increase conversions - get a higher percentage of visitors to sign up for their service 2. Increase organic traffic
What we've done so far...
- The first thing we did was completely re-do the home page for conversion optimization. Users needed to know this was a legitmate service that could be trusted. Here's a recap of what we did.
- We've also done a lot of tweaks and testing of wording to help increase conversions. Tax products are inherently complicated (or at least that's the perception). We're trying hard to help users believe they shouldn't be intimidated.
- In the most recent signup period, the abandonement rate of users signing up for the service decreased by more than 50%. That's huge!

Client: TaxJar
Website: TaxJar.com Business summary: TaxJar is a startup in semi-stealth mode. We LOVE working with startups! They expect to have a minimum viable product launched in May. Project Start Date: March 2012 Project Goals 1. Create a minimum viable product to test founder's hypothesis (i.e., help them get their idea off the ground and see if it can get any traction) 2. Begin the brand creation process 3. Develop a content strategy to help the company set the right baseline presence in search with a bonus for customer acquisition 4. Make sure that the signup process leads to the maximum conversion rate
What we've done so far... The minimum viable product is well into develpment. Once that gets launched, we'll begin attacking anlaytics to figure out the right signup process. We'll also be talking with as many customers as we can to help the founders evaluate the product and the hypothesis they had about the market.
