Our Optimization Process

We follow a proven process when we work with you to optmize your website's performance in the search engines.

Although we're not going to give away every ounce of our formula, here are some of the most important questions we ask every one of our clients to help us devise a customized campaign that will lead to more qualified leads visting your website.
  • What are your goals? Before we even think about getting started, we want to know both the short-term and long-term goals for your business.
  • How much presence do you currently have in search engines? We;ll do a quick test to find out what pages on your site are already indexed. That will tell us a lot about your website's presence in the search engines and how to improve it.

  • What have you done, if anything, regarding search engine optimization in the past? We want to know as much as we can about the history of what's been done regarding your site. This part will be your job. Just tell us everything you know.

  • What are the most valuable keywords in your industry? What are the words or terms that are going to bring you the most qualified leads? Don't worry. If you don't know, we'll find out for you. As a follow-up, we'll find out how your website is perfoming with each of those terms. This is perhaps the most important question of the entire process.

  • How well are you using those keywords? Now that we know what terms you need to leverage, we will look at your website to see how well you use them in your content, page titles, meta data, and links.

  • What is your content structure and release schedule? Basically, we want to know your content strategy. Do you have a plan for getting users to your website through unique and valuable content. For example, do you have a blog? If so, what is the publication schedule for new posts?

  • How clean is your code? Simply put: the cleaner your code, the easier it is for search engines to properly index your website. We'll look under the hood to see if any work is needed to help better flag the search engines as to what your website is all about.

  • What is your level of link popularity? We'll look at exactly what links are linking to your website. For example, we'll look in link directories, press releases, banner ads, press, blogs, syndicated content sites, social networks and video sites. Out of those websites linking to you, we will then look at how valuable are the links being provided. Since inbound links are so critical, this step is very important in determining a campaign for your website.

  • What are your competitors doing? We want to know as much as possible about how your competition would answer these same questions. For example, what is their content strategy? Are they focused on the winning search terms? And, perhaps most importantly, who is liking to them? We'll inviestigate all of these aspects for you.
Once we can answer all of these questions, we'll be ready to provide you with a customized plan to optmize your website.
